The iPhone 14 lineup is expected to launch in September 2022, and while that date is still a long way off, the successors to the iPhone 13 family are already losing enough.

We don't know much about the iPhone 14 yet, but we've heard that Apple's next lineup will ditch the Mini and instead focus on bigger phones. A July report from Nikkei Asian Review predicted the demise of the iPhone 14 Mini, and a research note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo obtained by MacRumors also suggested the Mini wouldn't be around for very long. However, Kuo said the iPhone 14 lineup will still feature four models, a "high end" and a "low end", each with two size options.

While naming speculation isn't as relevant to the discussion of Apple's 2022 lineup as it is for the ill-fated 13, rumors point to a small change in naming conventions, with an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max labeled "Pro". High-end specs and "Max" refer to the largest screen size.
